SONY DSCChurchmouse Yarns & Teas is not only a destination yarn shop with knitters visiting far and wide throughout the year, but they are also known for their patterns that are sold in select yarn shops around the US. SONY DSC These patterns are not only sold in store at Churchmouse Yarns & Teas, but they are also available on Ravelry.

I’m lucky to live nearby this somewhat famous yarn shop, I live in the same county and can visit anytime I want, as the shop is open seven days a week.  When we heard of the release of new patterns, my friends and I had to set up a date to meet up for this event.

The store was busy, and some where waiting anxiously to get in to see these patterns.SONY DSC  Any excuse to get into the shop, see the new fall yarns, and of course those new patterns.  Churchmouse writes a pattern that has been knit many times over by various peoples.  I have a saying amongst my friends “trust the Mouse”!  I mean it!  Pick the right yarn, knit your gauge and follow the directions — the rest will take care of itself.  Do a proper blocking and you will have a timeless piece that will guarantee many compliments.

SONY DSCWhether you are picking up yarn for a project you’ve been dreaming about, purchasing that new pattern, treating yourself to some tea, or picking up a fancy mug, a trip to the Churchmouse is typically memorable.SONY DSC

Personally, me and my friends are knitting the Easy Folded Poncho.  It’s not one of their new patterns, but we are all knitting it and having a blast, all in different yarns.  I wish I had a photo to share — be patient~SONY DSC
