I just love the name of this project.  It seems like everyone is knitting stuff for all the new born babies.  A baby blanket is a lot of knitting, and it takes a lot of yarn.  We all have our go to favorites that we like after having knit a few, there’s always one that stands out, that gets repeated.  This one is Carmels favorite.  The designer for this one is Lisa Shobhana Mason, and the pattern can be found in the Stitch ‘N Bitch: The Knitters Handbook, book.  Ask for this book at your LYS or even look for it at the Library.

The pattern calls for two strands of Koigu held together on a size 9 needle.  Carmel, actually used some yarn by KnitPicks called Swish Bulky that was a superwash also on a size 9.  The colors she chose to work with were Planetarium and Silver.  Join Carmel over in our Ravelry group, and also join us on Facebook!
