Carmel & I took the I Can’t Believe I’m Fair Isle Knitting class at Debbie Macomber’s A Good Yarn Shop with Sheila Joynes in Port Orchard, Washington. I know, I know, we did that last year. But I’m telling the story again because Carmels hat needs to go on the new websites projects page. Also, because it’s boating season again now.
Now, Sheila is also the designer of the pattern, and it’s called Anchors A Weigh. Carmel used these fun colors of Cascade Yarns 220 Fingering. The class was a cowl using worsted weight, but then you pick out yarn for a fingering weight hat of your choice pattern. This was Carmels choice for the hat and I love it.
In case you are wondering about my project…..I finished the cowl…..but it ended up being a hat. I love it actually and wear it a lot in the winter time when we hike. My hat project isn’t finished yet….must work on it this spring and finish it up.
Also, for those who are new — Carmel is our group moderator over on the America’s Knitting Ravelry Group page. Carmel has her own blog and she goes by carmelknits!
