         Felting in February

This idea came from one of our readers, Anasuya over in Berkeley, California.  Doesn't this photo to the left just look like spring with those flowers and the colors in Erins' bag.  My friend Erin, who lives in Long Beach, California knit this bag.  The pattern is one of Leigh Radfords called Wobble Circles Tote.  You can find the pattern in the Interweave Knits Spring 2006 magazine.  Erin used many yarns on this bag from Cascade Yarns 2020, to Lamb's Pride Bulky, to Berroco's Hip Hop stranded with some Lamb's Pride Worsted.  All I can say is California is representing here from Berkeley to Long Beach - thanks ladies.  Spring here we come!

Heidi is from Long Island, and she knit the Lucy Bag by Two Old Bags.  The yarn that Heidi chose is Cascade Yarns 220 Heathers.  This is very fun, and I love the flower - FLOWER POWER!  Heidi purchased her project at Knitch in Delafield Wisconsin, a sponsor of this site.  Thanks Heidi for sharing your work!

Bonnie lives in Montana, and she knit the Felted Clogs (AC-33) by Bev Galeskas and Fiber Trends.  The yarn that Bonnie used is Cascade Yarns 220 Wool.  These are classic!  Nice work Bonnie and thank for participating.

My friend Yvonne (one of the Wednesday night knitters), knit this fun hat from the book, Knit One Below: One Stitch, Many Fabrics by Elise Duvekot.  I saw this technique in the Knitters Magazine.....this may be our next KAL for all you Facebook kids.  The yarn Yvonne used is Cascade Yarn's 220 Wool.  It has a fun shape doesn't it?  Thanks Yvonne!

We are starting, again here in the West with Kim in Buckeye, Arizona.  Kim knit the Whiskey Felted Cap by Laura Irwin.  You can find this pattern in the book, Boutique Knits.....ask for it at your LYS.  The yarn used is Reynolds Whiskey.  That is a new yarn, I have never heard of before.  I'll have to keep a lookout for that one.  It's very cute Kim.  Thanks for participating.
