".....it's all good....."

For the months of May & June, everyone will be participating. My youngest son Kevan is graduating from college, and we have a trip planned for Ireland. This will be easier for me to update without having any start & stop dates for a couple of months. No matter where you live, I want everyone to send in their projects to share with the country. What is everyone knitting this spring? |

Ann Poor of Poulsbo, Washington, knit this cool Earflap Hat. She got the pattern at Knit Purl in Portland, Oregon. The yarn Ann used was Jarbo Garn Raggi, and purchased that at the Allyn Knit Shop in Allyn, Washington. Nice work Ann.
Beth lives in Madison, Alabama, and she has a story that goes along with this project. She is a big-time fan of Jeffrey Steele. She decides that she is going to knit him a hat - so she does. After gifting him with the hat, she decides to contact the entertainer, so he knows how to care for the hat, and also tells him that if he ever should want another hat, she'd be honored to make that for him. He responds and says he wants another hat in black with the words "drunkgirl" on the hat. Quite a bit of communication goes on ironing out all the details, and the hat is made. Here is a photo of Beth with Jeffrey wearing the hat. Why "drunkgirl"? Well, a song was written some years back by Jeffrey, and was originally inspried by the movie "The Accused" starring Jody Foster, so goes the hat. The hat was made with a sportweight black alpaca on a size 4 needle. The pattern used Spiral Rib Qivuit Cap by Caryll Design. Thanks Beth for the story and the hat photo~

Deanna Bowman of Poulsbo, Washington knit the One Skein Bulky Chenille Scarf from Blue Heron Yarns. Basically, it's a 3x3 rib, with a cast on of 30 on a size 8 needle.
