It's close to the holidays I know, but I've gotten requests to do a baby segment, and it's been a while so I thought it might be nice.
I'm actually going to kick off this page myself with a finished projects - WOOT!
Babies are fun to knit for and it's instant gratification, and most often portable projects. Please email over your photos and I will post them to the page.
BABY UP!

Carol is back with another baby sweater. Carmel & Carol really pump it out. Makes me feel the need to turn off the computer and the tv, turn on a little music and just knit - no distractions. Anyway...here is what Carol had to say:
The pattern is Figheadh Fundamentals and the yarn is the October Yarn of the Month from Fancy Image Yarn. I was intrigued by the skein of yarn, even though these are not my colors, but I just had to knit up a sweater to see how it came out.
Cute buttons Carol and thank you for sending it in!

Well, finally, a pair of booties. I wonder if anyone will enter a baby blanket?? Anyway, here are Carmels (I know y'all were missin her) Baby Feeties by Anne Sahakian. The pattern for these feeties is available on Ravelry for 'free'!! Carmel said she used Tweedy Cashmere in worsted weight on a size 5 needle. She also told me that they are fun to make and you're finished in about and hour and a half.

Carol from Washington is back with more baby sweaters. The vest is the Milo Vest, a paid Ravelry pattern by Georgie Hallam. The yarn is Kertzer Northern Worsted in discontinued color Kids Galore. The other is Carol's adaptation of Elizabeth Zimmermann's Baby February sweater. I used yarn from Fancy Image Yarn - colors Nascar for the yoke and red for the body.
Lynn, has a hat for The Period of Purple Crying, thank you Lynn! The pattern for this hat is Trendy Baby Hat by Bethany Patchin. This pattern is a free Ravelry download. The yarn Lynn used is Araucania Azapa. She said that she really liked the yarn, used it for a sweater and had leftover to make this hat. She said she would definately use it again!

Now, we have a couple of items from Karen, owner of Unraveled Yarns & Artful Gifts in Federal Way, Washington. Karen designed the hat and calls it Tree Hugger, and it looks like Cascade Yarns Fixation - I'll have to ask and make sure. I'll bet you could get the pattern at the store. The second picture is a dress pattern from Swedish Yarns, and I don't know the yarn, but it looks super cute! Karen loves fair isle work! Thank you Karen for your entries!

My friend Lynn hasn't posted in a while, but here is her <baby> Kauni Cardigan. Yep, she just changed it, did a conversion to a baby size. Don't you just love some people's talent? Cute sweater Lynn -- can't wait til our big girl sweaters are done!

Here I am kicking things off myself this time. This is the Aviatrix hat by Justine Turner of justjussi. This hat was so fun to make, that now that I've made one, I'm going to make another one. You know how you go through a pattern and get everything down - I can't wait to make another hat. This hat was knit with Berroco Comfort, and will be donated to The Period of Purple Crying project.
