Lavender & Lace

|
This months theme is Lavender & Lace! Lace is very popular right now. All the yarn companies have their lace weight yarn as part of their line and for good reason, lace work. You are seeing lace shawls, lace socks, lace edgings on baby blankets and lace collars on sweaters, even open work hats. The color purple is also very popular right now too - SO I am combining the two here on this page. Email over photos of your lace work, and/or your purple (lavender) work. Knitting or crochet, I think this will be a very fun month. Here is my email addy: mary@americasknitting.com |
Amy & Sean own Fiber Wild, a yarn shop in Galena, Illinois. Here is a new offering from the store, it's called the Ella Lace Scarf Kit and it sells for $24. I think it's so timely for the season. scarves right now are very much in vogue -- you can't open a catalogue without seeing them. The lace keeps it light and wearable until the cold weather truly sets in. Lovely!
