Here is my friend Wendy. Wendy is a wonderful knitter that knits hats, mitts, socks, sweaters and shawls. This is her Citron knit with Malabrigo Sock. The greatest thing about Wendy's knitting, is that what she knits fits her very well - she's a master at gauge.

Designer Mary Triplett of Utah just released this simple shawl perfect for possibly a first shawl pattern with a nice interest in lace. She calls it her Porch Swing Shawl and her design name is Just Knits. You can find Mary on Facebook under Just Knits and over on Ravelry as ClickClick. The yarn Mary used in this design is by Kollage Yarns, Riveting.
Peter in Washington knit this fabulous Triangular Summer Shawl by Nancy Bush. The patterns comes out of the book Knitted Lace of Estonia also by Nancy Bush, ask for it at your local yarn shop. In white like this, it looks very bridal. Peter's LYS is Debbie Macomber's A Good Yarn Shop in Port Orchard, Washington.
Here is headless Sarah.....she really is under this gorgeous orange Ishbel shawl designed by Ysolda Teague. Sarah is from Illinois and she used Sundara Yarn Fingering Silky Merino yarn for this master piece. Thanks Sarah for joining us and sharing your work - NICE!!
My dear friend Melissa from Virginia knit the 198 Yards of Heaven Shawl by Christy Verity (a free Ravelry download) using Classic Elite's Inca Alpaca. Nice work Mel - so good to see your smiling face.

Bamboo. This project was a 'mystery knit' from A Good Yarn in Sarasota, Florida. I am in love with this project. They call it a scarf, but it looks like a shawl to me. I love it - I love it - I love it!!!!

Here is my friend Chris again with her Leaf Lace Shawl by Fiber Trends, knit with Kauni yarn out of Denmark. I must admit that I have this shawl on needles too with the same yarn in a different colorway. My friend Lynn made one too, but we don't have a photo of that one. Very contagious!! I told you Chris was 'shawl central'. Ask for this pattern at your LYS. LOVE the way it turned out!

Bobbi Daniels, owner/operator of Raven Frog Fibers in Sitka, Alaska knit the Woodland Spring shawl which is based off of Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi are Square math formula. Bobbi used one skein of the Raven Frog Bear Feet yarn in the Spring installment of the Bear Feet/Bear Essentials in Winter Program. Thank you Bobbie for your entry - very feminine.

Here is Carmel (another Washingtonian) with her Multnomah Shawl by Kate Elsa. Carmel used Dream in Color Starry for this shawl on a size 6 needle and loved it!! She did a wet block to get this look of perfection. Thanks Carmel, just gorgeous~

Laura of Washington state here, knit the Gail aka Nightsongs shawl by MaweLucky/Jane Araujo using Lana Grossa Chiara. Laura did five repeats making her shawl a shawlette. Gail purchased her yarn for this project at Debbie Macomber's A Good Yarn Shop. Nice work Laura - this shawlette is exquisite AND I have some of this yarn in my stash - hmmm.

Debbie Anne lives in the state of Washington, and Susan Ann lives in the state of California BUT they are sisters and they call themselves the Bellsisters. This shawl is called Joyette and it was designed by Debbie Anne and Susan Ann, and knit with Rowan RYC Cashsoft DK. Jamie comes to us from Montana, and she knit the Rosalynde Shawl by Caryl Pierra, using Cascade Yarns Heritage Solids & Quatro Colors. Hey, I had to share my shawl that I knitted out of my handspun with my own seascape design. The shawl took about 600 yards. The background is a merino/silk blend with various hand spun art yarns for accents. So to answer today's Facebook question - I knit and spin and sometimes crochet. Thank you for your website. Mary Triplett with Just Knits out of Utah designed this lovely wrap called Friendship Shawl. Mary used Elsebeth Lavold's Silky Wool. Looks like spring to me Mary. Although Kathie Lives in Issaquah, which isn't far from me on Bainbridge Island, I met her here on facebook. Here is her Dreams of the Salish Sea Shawlette. This was a one-skein pattern offered on the LYS Tour in 2010 from the Village Yarn & Tea shop. The Village Yarn & Tea shop is now closed but this pattern will live on for those who have it. Kathie used Misti Alpaca Tonos Pima Silk.
